OT - Overnight at the Lodge!

Just wanted to remind those of you who have been pondering joining us -

We're having an overnight at the Baker Near Wilderness Settlement - from noon on Saturday, March 28th, until noon on Sunday, March 29th!  The cost is $25 per person - that includes the cost of exclusive use of the facilities, and meals. 

Lodging is in rustic log cabins - bunks, wood burning stoves and a small table & chairs in each, everyone is responsible for providing their own sleeping bag & pillow, etc.   I will get in touch a couple weeks ahead of time to determine our menu - I'll buy the necessary groceries and lots of water, and we'll share cooking duties!

THIS YEAR, WE HAVE A "DUDE CABIN"!!  A few brave male souls plan to join in the fun!

We will have a staff naturalist on site, and can have that person lead any kind of outdoor activity or class we'd like!  Last year we learned how to make maple syrup - check out the options through the link above, and let me know what you think we ought to do?!

I noticed the site had Team Building Activities, what might those be?

I'm sure things like trust falls, ropes, group challenges & such - you want me to find out specifics?

If anyone else has an interest, I always wanted to do something like a trust fall or one of those challenges that really made you go outside your comfort zone.

I like the Wilderness Skills or Night Walk options.

Night walks are WAY COOL at the Settlement..  Even the ones to the biffy in the middle of the night!  You never know who - or WHAT - you might encounter!!! 

( I mean things like wild turkeys, possum's, etc... )

I would love to come so I am pondering it my only thing is that I am SO far from the cities is there someone coming from the southern area that I can meet up with and car pool with? or follow? And I don't know where my job will be at or if I'll have one if I'll be able to afford it and gas to get there but please keep me in the loop PLEASE!!

So far I don't believe anyone is coming from your area, I'm afraid - but I'll be posting here a few more times before then, so you will be in the loop!

I was sooooo planning on coming this year-but have surgery schedueled for the Friday before.  crap, crap and more crap-you all have a good time without me (again!!) and NEXT time I am definitely gonna come!!
