I know singing isn't 'exercise' per say... but still.

Singing Boosts the Immune System and Well-Being

Several studies have found that singing enhances immunity and well-being. One, conducted at the University of Frankfurt in Germany, found that choral members had higher levels of immunoglobulin A and cortisol - markers of enhanced immunity - after they sang Mozart's "Requiem" than before.

In another study, members of a choir filled out questionnaires to report their physical and psychological reactions to singing. The choristers reported:
--Improved lung capacity
--High energy
--Relieved asthma
--Better posture
--Enhanced feelings of relaxation, mood and confidence

So how are you moving this Sunday??? Why not hum a tune during your workout or listen to some inspiring music?

Me?? I plan to start walking without the crutches and try to move around more today!

Heya!  I plan to workout and SING this morning.  Well, I already worked out.  15 mins on the treadmill and 20 mins on the elliptical.  Push ups and crunches to round it out.  I am singing at church today.  And yes, singing is a workout as well.  Intense singing takes much breath support and a concert wears you out!

THANK YOU for continuing to post these every day.  I know I don't reply daily even though I exercise daily, but appreciate seeing it!  Hope you are feeling better.

I walked two miles outdoors this morning......it was pretty cold, but enjoyable.  I didn't do any singing, though.  The best thing I can say about my singing is that, well, it can be very loud......kinda scares the neighborhood dogs, though, whenever I sing outdoors.

I'll be rockin' out on the treadmill and singin' along to the I-pod.  I've spent the morning doing a little housecleaning while listening/dancing around to some salsa music (in my jammies . . . how's that for a visual???).  Happy Sunday everyone!

Eliptical for only 10 minutes today and walked around the plant for about a half hour. Can't wait until tomorrow so that I can get back to the gym.
