 Darla,

Have you ever tried sinus irrigation?  Ever heard of a neti pot?  Sinus irrigation is basically letting lukewarm sal****er flow or gently squirting water into one nostril... it goes through your sinus and exits through the other nostril.  It cleans out all the gunk.  It is easy to do and quite soothing.  It is a very old and effective method for cleaning out the sinuses and reducing sinus symptoms.  I have done it myself.  You can buy a neti pot or squirt bottle type irrigation kit at pretty much any pharmacy.  Give it  a try.

Maybe I'll see you tomorow at the meeting?

I've heard of neti pots, have a few friends who swear by them!  I just can't get past the "yuk" factor yet...  I've got a saline mist, but my hubby's been using it, so I won't be trying that until I can buy one for MY exclusive use.  Married or not, that's kinda revolting...

I won't be at PNC tonight, I won't spread this junk to others...

Sorry you are not feeling well...!  I usually take plain sudafed, suck on cold-eze and drink lots of water.  Mucinex D is also AWESOME if you are able to swallow the pill.

Healing hugs to you!!

Darla,

I just got over the stupid cold and I think since surgery every time I take cold medicine it only works for like an hour then I'm miserable again.  I did try mucinex and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack for about 20 min not sure what is in that stuff but it also made me really sick to my stomach but after the horrible 20 min of pain it worked great and longer than an hour.
