MN weather and the band

Ok so here we are today...and boy what a beautiful day it is!!! The calm before the storm should we say. Gotta love MN winters, 40 degrees today, 8 inches of snow and blowing snow tomorrow. I am not new to the boards, but am mostly just an observer.
I guess what I am wondering is I am now 5 months post op, think I have hit my sweet spot (or am really close) I had my last fill of .25cc last monday and haven't had a lot of issues. Today though, I wake up and am so tight that I couldn't even drink a few sips of water. I know that the morning is a little tighter, but I am wondering if my body/band is picking up the change in the weather???
Anyone else have any weirdness today? I'm thinking that the change in the atmosphere is causing havoc?

I highly doubt atmospheric pressure will cause issues with your band, but who knows.  I've had occassional night cough and my band is right at the cusp of too tight.  Most nights are fine, but it could be stress related (in my case).

For me, I have developed some rules for making it through the night.  My biggest rule is absolutely NO food after 7pm.  This is MY rule any you cannot HAVE it. (But I will sell it for the right price).

My point is, you may have to write yourself a rule if you discover something is affecting your condition.  Moving out of the Midwest in the winter may be a bit extreme, but I've honestly considered that one myself a few times.  A nice cruise would suffice for me bout now.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have a call into my surgeons office but today is his surgery day, so we'll see what he thinks.

I like your rule, unfortunately I don't remember even having dinner last night, so I think you will be able to keep it. :)

Just hoping that others had thoughts on this issue. I think if we could prove it maybe we could be reimbursed by our insurance companies to relocate during the winter

I don't think it's the weather...

Typically, it can be stress - that's a BIG one for me! Also... mornings are tighter as you said... if you drink cold water, it can tighten up a little (and apparently drinking ho****er/tea can loosen it a little)... the band sometimes has a mind of its own.

I have heard others talk about this and they swear their bands are affected by the barometric pressure, but I haven't ever noticed it myself. Like Paul and Elena said, stress can be a big factor. It can also be affected by that time of the month, dehyradration, and the stars lining up in the wrong order....in other words, it can be a fickle band some days. Just be aware, and take extra care on those days, unless it persists. I have had fills kick in 2-3 weeks after, so if it remains that tight, you might need a little bit of an unfill.

Thanks Everyone,

I met with my surgeon this morning and he and I both agreed that a very slight unfil would be a good idea.

My band was affected by the weather... mostly humidity.  When it was very hot and humid outside in the summer and I was exercising outside (mowing lawn, walking, etc.), my band would definitely tighten up.  I never experienced it in the winter, but it is possible.
