Elena:
When I read your post, I thought of the old Cat Stevens song "Oh Very Young" and, in particular, two lines from that song:
You're only dancing on this earth for a short while
Oh very young what will you leave us this time
Although your friend led a relatively short life, it at least was blessed with your friendship and love. As you mourn her today, imagine her dancing through heaven and in the process leaving a little of her spirit in your heart.
Take care,
RP
Elena.. what a wonderful friendship you shared ! Anyone would be honored to have a friend like you. Treasure all the memories you have and thanks for sharing.
I can't wait til my kids get home from school to give them an extra hug. Life is so precious..one has to remember not to take it for granted.
Hugs,
Natalie

Oh honey, what a fantastic HAPPY tribute to your friend. You show her much love and respect. They say that your past defines who you are now and in the future. It's so tragic to lose a friend as special as Mimi and you would never wish anything like that on your worst enemy, but you are so wise to realize that your time with Mimi, especially the part where you helped her live her life to the fullest after her diagnosis and treatment, has changed your life in countless ways and shaped who you are today.
Elena, you are one of the most generous and geniunely kind people I know. You have to realize that many of us "older" folks are envious of the wisdom and experience you already have at your young age. It's evident that some of the hard life events, such as losing Mimi, has contributed to that wisdom.
Thank you for sharing this part of your life with all of us and giving us another glimpse into what makes you so special. I simply adore you!
Love and hugs!

Thanks Tracy! What you said really really means a lot to me.

If only we all had a friend or were that friend the world would be a better place!!! You are such a great person and i am a better person just from knowing you!!!!
