OT - Prayers for Junebug and Amanda
Today I would appreciate prayers for two people in my life that are greatly in need.
My precious Junebug, whom I was with last August when she had to have a stent placed in her heart, is back in surgery as I type this - when she was going through all kinds of tests for her heart last summer, a spot was detected on her right lung. When the greater problem was diagnosed, the spot was shelved for the time being.
Now that she's had her stent in place for almost 7 months, they have taken a closer look at that suspicious spot on her lung, which has grown since her last scan. They are going in to remove as much of the tumor as they can, send it to the lab for diagnosis as she's still on the operating table, and proceed once they have the results. They are fairly confident it is the type of cancer that ended Dana Reeves' life several years ago, and may have to remove a lobe of her lung. I pray that if it IS cancer they find, removing that lobe will take care of it. This woman has fought more medical issues than most have to face in a lifetime. She is precious, full of **** & vinegar, and I want her around for a long time!
Amanda is a 16 year old girl, who has been one of my Girl Scouts since she and Bailey were 1st graders in 1999. This week, she was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous (sp?) Leukemia, and will be spending the next 4 weeks at Childrens undergoing aggressive treatment. If you're so inclined to send up a prayer for these two people, well, I know how powerful that is.
Thanks...
