The weekends can be a tough time for eating... no routine, no structure can = snacking and bad choices.

Ways to Control Weekend Eating

  • Plan ahead.
  • Watch portion sizes.
  • Minimize the number of meals you eat at restaurants.
  • Beware of buffet style restaurants.
  • Concentrate on people and conversation over food.
  • Offset weekend eating with extra exercise.
  • Track your daily calories on the weekends.
  • Change your lifestyle to incorporate healthy food choices on the weekend.
  • If you must eat dessert, share with a few people and only take a couple of bites.
So whatcha eatin' today?

B: Cottage cheese

Elena-
Do you use the fat free versions of cottage cheese, sour cream, cheese, etc? Just curious because I was told to just eat protein and veggies, no more than three cups a day and lots of sugar free liquids... so I have been reading on some posters that like to have some FF refried beans, with FF cheese and FF sour cream. Even though the FF version have more sugar in them than the regular...I was told by my nutritionist to eat a high protein diet, low carb...just curious about the calories and sugar.

P.S. You look amazing in your new avatar!

Hey Kristina! Thanks for the compliment :) I do the 2% Cottage Cheese... but that's because I don't like the taste of FF Cottage Cheese at all. As for Sour Cream and Milk... I do FF. I am not sure about calories and sugar count... my nutritionist told me to not count.

Honestly... I have no idea. I get TONS of protein in since that's all I eat. I watch my carb intake like a hawk... and my nutritionist told me not to count calories. So that's where I'm at. :)
