OT: Metered Ramps

I mean seriously, why do we really need them?  Yeah yeah, I know....to help the flow of traffic and not allow too many cars on the hiway at once.

Just as many cars are exiting the roads at a greater pace.  I say turn those dayum lights off.

Well there's only one thing about the ramps that ****** me off more than the ramp itself.

...and that's the bastids that take off out of turn...

The worst is when you make a turn to get on the ON ramp and realize there are 100 cars in line at the light. If you would have known, you wouldn't have turned.... but it's toooooooooo late.

I'm gonna venture a guess here... we may have some extra people show up just to meet YOU!!!

Well at least you HAVE freeways!!! Here in Tallahassee (a small town) it will take you 30 minutes no traffic to get you across town. WITH traffic it can take 1 - 1 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have stoplights galore, but there's no interstate or freeway where you can go from 1 side of town to the other. I'd give anything to have ramp meter issues again. Grrrrrrrr

I'm with you on the ramps, but what makes me more frustrated is the HOV lane.  I'd say more people than not are not driving by themselves in that lane during the specified times.
