THURS: Interval training!
I've heard a lot of good things about internal training. Do you do it? If so... what do you think?
I found a short but good article about it: The Benefits of Interval Training
Yesterday I took a 40-minute walk and then did 20 minutes on the treadmill.
For Thursday, I will get up and do 30 min on the treadmill/elliptical. Then when I get home, 30 more minutes on the treadmill/elliptical. If the weather is good... I might take Eddie on a walk as well!
How are you moving/did you move today?

Good Morning!!
It is a wonderful day-the week is on the downslide and the weather is supposed to be better. It is amazing what a day with sun will do for one's spirit!!
I am off to the gym right now for my normal 60 minutes of cardio (treadmill, eliptical, bike). I missed my strength training yesterday, so will do that today.
As for interval training- the closest I come to it is doing the hill profile on the treadmill. I enjoy it and know that it has helped me to burn more calories and made my heart more efficient. In the future I hope to do more of the intervals. We shall see!
On another note- the scale is finally moving the right way again. Through my thyroid cancer journey I gained a few pounds, but they are now starting to come off again. Guess the Synthroid has started to kick in!!
Have a WONDERUL day!

Way to work it Reenie (and I apologize, in my sleepiness yesterday I spelled your name wrong... sorry 'bout that!) I am glad the scale is moving - you deserve it with all you do!!!
I'm struggling with my little goal of walking a mile every day. I seem to be stuck most days at just doing 15 minutes on the treadmill- Did that this morning. I have yet to get myself on that thing twice in a day. Not sure what it's gonna take for me to get there. Ugh!
I'll have to try adding more interval training on the treadmill. I already mix it up with the incline and speed throughout the workout, and boy do I notice my heart rate increasing w/ the incline.

Thanks for the compliment Elena. Some days it is hard to get up and go, but.... like the NIKE commercial says..... Just Do It!!
When I made the commitment to have my WLS I knew that daily activity would need to be a part of it. It is getting to the point where it is fun to challenge myself to go a little bit harder (either raising the resistance or the speed)- I never thought it would be possible.
Hope everyone is having a GREAT day! I have class tonight so it will be a long one for me again. Will roll home about 8:15 tonight.

I spent five hours today packing boxes, moving them to the garage, moving them into the vehicle, and then putting them into the storage shed......Filled the minivan three times like this today......Just bought a townhome and close the beginning of April, so trying to start a little early in order to make the move more smooth and hopefully less stressful. The muscles in my arms, back, and legs sure are tired tonight.
