I should be happy but
Well today i went through my closet and drawers and removed 6 bags of clothes to give to Good Will and about 4 bags that I threw out. I shoul be happy with getting rid of all the clothes due to my weight lose, but I feel kinda sad. It feels like I'm threwing out part of my life. I can't believe how hard it was for me.
"You may feel like giving up, but you have everything you need to succeed. Press forward without fear!"

I just threw out 2 bags of clothes this week and I can honestly say I didn't feel any sadness. I was so excited. I feel like spring flower getting ready to blossom into a new and beautiful person come spring. I am sure some of the emotions are different for everyone. But congratulations on such great success that you need different clothes.
Oh me too, me too!
I am not giving up the clothes I wore for the last 5 years and it's depressing... it's memories gone (and I have a bad memory so that makes it even worse!!!!) lol But I know that those memories are the base for new memories and times.... it's hard to move on but I just try to remember that the person I WAS helped me become who I am TODAY. Our identify often lies in the clothes... I guess we mourn and move on to love the new us.

I guess I did not go through this stage. Maybe I was sleep LOL. I did have a clothes buddy though. As I left the sizes I passed down the goods to her. Some things I took into the consignment shop to earn some cash to re buy more clothes. Some I donated to the used a bit shops. Now I am in a rut of having to hold on to some clothes because they are not the right season for the shops. They all go into the extra closet til they move on.
I guess I looked at it all as a cash experience and didn't mourn the loss.

I hear ya there. I still wear some of my shirts around the house or to bed. It is hard though to get rid of them. I kept my favorite pair of pants and shirt to keep as a reminder of how far I have come. It is amazing, and it will get better in time to get rid of clothes.......
good luck to ya,
