How long after consult
I think this may have already been answered. If it has, please point me toward that thread. My question is just a little more specific
I'm having my consult with the surgeon I've chosen, Dr. Drew at Abbott Northwestern, on April 7th. Of those who have gone through Abbott Northwestern/St. Joseph's (Drs Drew, Chute, or Schwartz), I was wondering if you had any information about this...
My insurance (Medica) doesn't require a doctor supervised weight loss program since my BMI is over 40 and I have a comorbid (my BMI is 51 and I have moderate sleep apnea).
What is the likelihood that I could be approved for surgery by this upcoming summer? I'm trying to get a rough estimate of when I could be looking at for surgery. Like all of us, I'm antsy. I have one of those personalities that wants to know everything about something.
I know that you usually don't get a date until your insurance aproves you.. but how far out are they scheduled? 1 month? 3 months?
