Do you all have the same thing as me.... when we go out to eat with or without the kids the waiter/waitresses keep asking if everything is okay.......are you sure..... I have to keep saying yes everything is okay and then when I ask for a to go box I get are you sure everything is okay..... Now stop and think if it was garbage and I didn't eat it would I really bring it home/??????????????  I should just learn to not order anything and just ask for a extra plate and nibble off my hubby's  .....  what do you do???????????

Hey Marsha!
Yep I have had the same thing happen to me the few times I have ordered something on my own. I typically ask for my to go box right away though. I tend to not get as many comments that way!
I actually like ordering my own meal, because I can typically get at least 2 if not 3 more meals out of it!!!

Yes, I have had this happen as well. I honestly didn't "get it" at first - like why are they asking. Then I figured it out. duh

The second time it happened, I said the same as Kim...just had a surgical procedure and am not as hungry as I thought.

I think it's a fun "problem"!

I just smile and assure them I'm good!

But I like your thought - would I really bring it home if I didn't like it?  You could even say something like that - "if it wasn't good, I wouldn't want to bring the rest home!"  Hard to argue that logic!

I totally have the same experience when I go out to eat.  For what ever reason I get kind of embarassed when they keep asking if everything is ok.  I don't bring left overs home either (my pouch doesn't like left overs)  so when they take my plate away they always are asking if it was ok I even had an owner of a resturant stop by and ask me again if it was ok.  My husband is a really picky eater so he never orders anything good for me to share with him.  I wish resturants had smaller portions options.

Hi Marsha...I ask for the to go box right when they bring the food. That way they know I am not going to be eating it all and they don't think anything is wrong with it.

I just say... could you bring me a to go box...this is more then I can eat. I haven't had a problem yet.

Love and hugs....connie d

That is a great idea and then it helps also for me not to over eat if I portion out my food before hand.  Even if I don't end up eating the left overs at least the let me be.

I am from a very small town and our local cafe staff knows that I have had wls done. When I ate there the other day-the waitress just said-"You eat like a bird" and shook her head. My response was " I know-I love it". She just smiled and took the left overs away.
With a postive outlook, everyday is bright!!!
