I don't know how I'm going to be able to do this for TWO WEEKS! I'm on day two and already frustrated. This really bites. I've had nothing but Boost and water and Crystal Light and Diet Lipton Green Tea. Grrrrr. How did anyone else manage to get through this? I'm going to go crazy.

I haven't had to do the liquid diet, but I just wanted to lend my support during this difficult time for you.  I hope some of the other folks here have some words of wisdom for you.  It's hard to see the long term goal with the present spitting in your face.  Hang in there!!

How many Boosts are you drinking a day? How many does your surgeon allow? PNC allows between 3-5. Drink the 5!!!! The first couple of days suck the big one. It's horrible. Don't cheat - you can do it!!!!!!!!

I only had to do a 3 day liquid diet but even that sucked. I ate a lot of popsicles and also alot of sugar free jello. I also drank warm chicken broth for dinner. I am very thankful I didn't have to do 2 weeks but I wish you good luck!!!

I had to do the liquid diet for ten days.  The first two or three days were almost impossible but it did get easier.  I ate lots of sugar-free jello and a few sugar-free popcicles.  When I was tired of sweet I made cup after cup of bullion or broth.  Make sure you drink all of the protein source you are allowed.  That helped me quite a bit.  Best of luck.  You can do this!

Keep coming here for support!   Good step in the right direction!  :O)
After the first three days I learned to like the LD.   I loved that I did not have to think about what I was going to eat that day!   (You know, fake it til you make it!)    :O)
All the things that people did I did too...broth, jello, popsicles BUT there is ONE more yummy deal.....slim fast, frozen.....you use a can opener to open it and it's JUST like ice cream.....(fake it 'til you make it...right?)   Actually, it is really good!
Mrs. Grass with that golden egg in it, was my favorite broth.
You will be fine!!!!!!

Thank you all for the encouragement and tips. I'll try what you have all suggested and see if that helps. I definitely need more variety.

I was told 3 bottles of boost a day, so it's usually a strawberry and 2 chocolate. I did chickon bouillion tonight and that was definitely a help.

I've had a constant headache since yesterday afternoon....I'm not sure if it's from the diet change, but I know they hubby doesn't like my being irritable.

I am definitely going to stick to this, though I don't like it. No cheating! Have to keep the end goal in mind. :)

For me the LD was the worst part of the whole experience but you can do it.  Once this is over you'll feel like you can do anything.   I actually slept a lot during this time just to escape the hunger I felt.  When you get over this and the weight starts falling off you it will get easier!

I post daily food and exercise threads and Citychic is on day 10 of her 14 day Liquid Diet right now.. in the beginning she was going crazy! I'd check out what she eats and see if any of that is allowed by your doctor. It might help! We've all been there... the first 2-4 days are the toughest.
