Feeling Lucky To Be Alive Today

I was in a serious car accident last night.  An inattentive driver in a 4 wheel drive truck clipped someone who was stopped and waiting to turn left from the oncoming lane, then came into my lane and hit me head on (it was a glancing blow of his right front hitting my right front).  Neither of us were hurt and he apologized profusely.  My jeep is totalled, though, and it will take a few weeks to sort things out.  Maybe I should be mad at him, yet I am not at all. Instead, I am feeling lucky to be alive.

Oh my gosh I am so glad you are okay..................  It is amazing no one got hurt.  Even tho you don't feel hurt now, you could later jus****ch for symptoms that may occur...........  Take care

Oh Rick, I'm so glad you're alive and especially not hurt.  My daughter rear-ended someone last week, a preventable accident, and I'm happy that the people she hit were fairly nice to her.  Believe me, I've given her a ton of lectures.  I think a lot of us need a wake up call as to how important it is not to be on the phone or doing anything else while we're driving.  It's one time we should not be multi-tasking.  Hugs!

Glad your Jeep gave it's life to protect yours. They are great vehicles. Take care, hope to see you at saturday coffee.

ONE session at a time is all I can do, multitasking is a fine art that I am still trying to master.

Glad you are okay!!
And I think it speaks volumes that you have already forgiven and moved on. Anger isn't worth it.

RP...glad you weren't seriously hurt. Good thing the jeep took the beating and not you!!

You are right it doesn't do any good to be mad...just a huge waste of energy and the outcome will still be the same.

Hope you get things worked out with your insurance and are able to be cruising the roads once again!!

Hugs....connie d

Wow Rick, I am so sorry to hear that but am so happy that you are ok. All I can say is to watch out for pains that creep in later because a seemingly injury-free accident can be very painful after the shock wears off. Rest u*****!
