Can't seem to stop asking Questions "Sorry"! How did your Significant Other do...
Hello Diane,
WLS has been extremely beneficial to my relationship.
At the beginning of my journey my DH (significant other at the time) was sleeping on the couch every night, his explanation was that I snored too loud and it kept him awake. Even though he tried to reassure me that it had nothing to do with our relationship I was feeling like we were growing apart (Like every relationship we've had are ups and downs. We met just over twelve years ago, dated on and off for the first five years, bought a house and had kids over the next seven years, and just got married on February 21st of this year.).
I am extremely happy to say he is back in bed every single night (I no longer snore). He has become more attentive to things I wear and even encourages me to try things I never would have worn pre surgery. He encourages me to make wise food choices when were out and does not criticize me if I make a bad choice. We have made one night a week our "date night" (even if it is only sitting home and watching movies) and try very hard to also include some alone time on the weekends (this can be tough with kids in activities, but not an excuse anymore). He has been extremely supportive through my entire journey and our relationship grows stronger every day

Hi there! Honestly I do not think my relationship has changed too much since I had surgery. If anything we are able to do more together. I know that my husband is completely happy with my progress. He has been a great support as I have been on my journey of WL and I think that is important for the both of us.
