stall already?
I know we all hit stalls (and it seems like a lot of the folks on the Feb 09 board are also going through a stall) but I've started doing my workouts again and am really frustrated. I'm riding the stationary bike and playing at least a half hour of Wii tennis every night plus doing nearly an hour of intense weight training twice a week.
I have lost about 28 total inches which is Geat but I feel like these first few months are a precious opportunity for big loss that are being wasted.

Then repeat it until you believe it - Fake it 'til you make it!
Your body needs to take breaks in the poundage losing department in order for things to adjust & snug up. I really don't think it would be healthy to keep losing at such a clip without these little "intermissions".
Besides - the exercise adds muscle, which weighs more than fat. It's misleading to go strictly by the numbers on the scale.
Put the majority of your focus on doing the right things, and how your clothes fit. Not on the scale. In fact, put that scale somewhere fairly inaccesible for a good, long time. Weigh only at your clinic (unless, of course, you WORK at a clinic, in which case this whole point is moot...) Finding bigger drops between less frequent weigh-ins is WAY more gratifying than micro-managing your scale - It will NOT move if you're staring at it!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I've been thinking a lot recently about instant gratification...that perhaps my frustration with not losing a ton of weight NOW NOW NOW is directly ralated to the need for instant gratification which used to be answered with tasty treats.
I think I need to find another way of answering that need or even...gasp!....finally maturing out of the need for instant gratification.

What you said about instant gratification makes so much sense. We used to be able to pork out to feel better, since we can't do that anymore, we expect the weight to fall off consistantly and quickly. If you can, challenge yourself to weigh once a week, or once every two weeks. I didn't weigh myself from 2/1 to 2/28 and I lived to tell about it. Do that, and you'll see a loss. :-) I've had several times where things seem to have halted, but they move again. Try not to let it get to you, as hard as it sounds. I think it's harder to fail than success with WLS. (at least so far for me)
