Well. That Really Chaps My Ass

Um......no one pissed me off.......and this is exceptionally embarassing, so read on, dear friends, if you dare......my main form of exercise is walking and I try to get in 15 to 20 miles per week.  With the weight loss and walking at a pretty good pace 3.5 to 4 miles per hour, I am finding that, well, my ass is chapped...at least the area where the cheeks meet.  I am thinking that A&D ointment or something for diaper rash might help.  So, does anyone have any good advice for a chapped ass?

I have a 4 yr. old and a husband this happens to, and my husband swears by regular vaseline. He says A & D burns, and I know if my son gets chapped and I use Desitin he screams, so I believe that burns as well.
Now I am a Oncology nurse and I know Auquaphor works for radiation burns and I have brought some home for my husband as well. You can get this at any pharmacy or Target. Good Luck.

  OH DEAR GOD, RICK!!!

Just when I thought I was laughed out....    GOSH, I LOVE YOU!!!

Baby powder might not feel so - ya know, gooshy?  Of course, if you slip one out with a powdered pooper, you may produce a telltale cloud behind you.  hmmm....

(I wonder if that "itch when it dries" comment applies here?)

Assuming that confession is good for the soul, let's just say that the answer to your question may have some bearing on the complete truth here.

Have I told you lately that I love you?
I think I just burned 100 calories laughing

Here's my advice....

Ointment for baby rash.. or some kind of a baby powder... if it's caused by some wetness or sweating. You could also try some very moisturing lotion... I've had both the too dry and too wet issues, so I know just how you feel!

Another thought....cycling stores such as Erik's Bike sell ointments specifically designed for the tender area you refer to :)

Do you wear sports wear that wicks away the moisture?  I know that works with socks?
