Is this recommended or needed I was only told Multi Vitiamin, and Calcium, in chewable form, and B-12....Now I am wondering???

Pre-op, you are just fine, unless of course you are low or deficient in something particular (of which you'd be supplementing for now anyhow).

After surgery, follow your surgeons guidelines and/or supplement based on your post surgery labs.

Most of us Minnesotans are low on vitamin D, so at PNC, anyway, we've been advised to add 1000 IU per day.  I've been doing that for almost 6 months now, so it'll be interesting to see where I come out with my labs at my 2 year next month!

Those are a good start.  Many people will tweak what they take based on their labs.  Personally, I get my labs every 6 months and have added different things as I need them.  I follow the basics of my program, but follow my labs closely, and increase or decease as needed.

Iron is recommended for some, as is Vitamin D.  maybe a B complex.  Just need to see what your labs look like. 

Calcium Multi and B12 are key.
