Setback??

I have been hobbling around since December and when I went to the Dr in early Feb he told me it was plantar fasciitis, which I seriously doubted.  I went in again yesterday and now he wants me to see a podiatrist because it might be a stress fracture.  I go see the podiatrist 2 1/2 hours after I meet with the surgeon to get a date.  Is there any chance this could postpone my surgery??  I really hope not!!

Ah!  That's rotten news!  He said "might" though . . . so let's hope it's not.  I have no idea whether that could delay surgery because I'm not sure what they'd do for a stress fracture this far out from when you first had symptoms.  I've got my fingers crossed that it doesn't hold you up in your process.  Hang in there! 

Good luck with the podiatrist.  It shouldn't postpone your surgery date- even if it is a stress fracture (if it is they will most likely put you in a boot- very removable for surgery). 
As a person who has had multiple foot fractures, be sure to listen closely to what they tell you to avoid long term consequences.  It is amazing how complicated feet can be.
