WED: Food Thread
Hi everyone, this is Greg, Elena's roommate. She's having a tough recovery so she asked me to post this for you. I know how much you guys mean to her and she really didn't want to miss posting this thread cuz she knows it helps some people. She kinda told me the format, so I'll give it a whirl.
I know personally through Elena's tracking it's helped me to plan ahead for the day. I used to go through out the day pretty unprepared and usually turning to random vending machine food or fast food. As she's made it a bigger deal in her life, it's consequently become bigger in mine. At first what I thought would be a burden of planning ahead and take too much time, wound up being quite liberating. I could get a meal ready ahead of time, with exactly what I want to eat and not have to turn to the nearest or cheapest source in my haste of hunger.
So what are you eating today? Elena will probably be on liquids all day cuz she can't seem to tolerate much. If she CAN tolerate food, we'll be doing Darla's BRAT DIET (Banana-Rice-Applesauce-Toast).

Liquids and the BRAT diet sound like a very good choice for Elena today. Please remember that anesthetic stays in your body for up to 6 weeks.

Breakfast- Yogurt and Kashi
Lunch- Lunch meat, String Cheese, Carrots, Almonds
Dinner- Turkey burger with cheese, brocoli,
Snack- Sugar Free Popsicle
