I gave the doc my gallbladder and all I got were these lousy scars

I went through surgery successfully (Dr. Jones said my age and weight loss worked in my favor - woot!).

I gave him my gallbladder and stones... and in return? All I got were two more lousy scars on my belly. Oh...and some photos of my evil gallbladder (which I will post of course!) and a photo of my band (to reassure me that it's still there)!

Day of surgery was mostly drowsy and in and out... and lots of nausea. Day 2 was a lot better. My nausea went away (I also stopped taking the oxycodine and switched to liquid tylenol.. so I think that helped). I even made it to support group!

Now I am just super sore, super tired and can't wait for my tummy to feel better and not look like I'm 6 months prego.

Thanks for all your good prayers, wishes, swinging chickens... it really helped!!

Hey Elena!  Sounds like you are in good spirits!  I remember getting that Oxicodone stuff after RNY and having severe nausea from it.  Doc prescribed the Liquid Tylenol with codiene and it made all the difference.  Can't wait to see your pictures!

Elena-
You constantly amaze me!  I hope you heal well and pain free.  Remember, it is ok to rest a little bit following surgery!  How cool to get pictures of all of these things.

Feel good and keep up the great work!

Elena:

I'm so glad you are OK!  The gross gallbladder pics should be great, too.

Take care,

It was alright. I was pretty tired though.
