PNC group

I had not been to the Wednesday group for MANY weeks...maybe months. Not sure what spured me to go last night, but I can't get it out of my mind.

Lots of new faces and lots of change. Change is hard.....I can't deny that. I saw some familiar faces and missed many others.

My biggest reflection is how we as WLS patients are more alike than different. It gave me strength and comfort to hear about struggles and successes. I appreciate those of you who shared how you work your program successfully. I admire those of you who shared your challenges. It takes courage.........I know I have a hard time sharing those things. I am the queen of rationalizations.........my pants are getting tight? the dryer must have shrunk them!!!
I'm off to walk and think.

I am glad I made it out to support group... I needed to get out of the house... but I don't remember much about it, lol. Must be the drugs. I am glad you had a great time - it's a good group!

Elena.........how the heck did you get to group? You look fantastic....like I said, it's been awhile since I've been to group.

It was great seeing you too! I agree that this week's group was definitely worth being there! And next time, I promise to share my BIG cookie with you!

I know I speak for everyone - not only at PNC, but here as well, when I say it's WONDERFUL to see someone who is further out than most - WE NEED to have you there, and HERE, to share your successes and your struggles with us.  We ARE very much alike, and it is so helpful and reassuring to see someone who is where we may be a few years down the road.

Good, bad and ugly - struggling or maintaining, we all have it ahead of us!
