My 3 month. VERY unhappy...

So I went in for my 3 month today. He said my weight loss is better then normal. That's great news since I have been so worried about it.
But then he starts asking questions. Now I never realized how much I should be eating, and he realized that I don't eat half of what I should per meal. And when I try, I throw up, every time.
So he tells me I need to try to get in 1/2 a cup of meat, each meal and nothing else! Now I Have to be honest I only get in about 1/4 a cup if I'm lucky. So 1/2 a cup is a lot. Well with lunch and dinner today I tried to get in that much, I got just over a 1/4 and got sick instantly...
I know I am kind of rambling huh? Well anyway, he said if in a few days I still can not get down the 1/2 a cup then I need to go in and get the scope.
Now I'm sure theres others in here who have had it done, so what does it consist of? And another question, for those out about 3 months, or those *****member that, how much did you eat?
I'm worried, I watched my mom get very sick and have to have several surgeries after her RNY, and she almost died, so any problem I have sets me into panic mode, even if its not a major thing...

Since I'm still pre-op, I don't know if I can offer much, but are you eating slowly enough?  I've been told a meal should take a half hour. Other than that, I can't offer anything but encouragement and hope.  Good luck!

I can drag a meal out 45 minutes and still cant get down all the food. And the encouragement helps just as much as advice does! Much appreciated! Thanks!

Its nice to see you! Been wondering about you! I miss you everytime I go in there!  Maybe the day he did our surgery he was doing everyones a lil tight?
So do you get sick if you try to eat more? I was wondering if maybe it was just him being a lil too strict...
 How are you doing otherwise??

The exact same day too! We met the night before surgery, and of course had the same nurse! I went in just an hour before her! And we also live within a few miles of eachother! So funny! We have never actually met though!

I had some eating issues in the beginning. I was unable to keep anything down for about a good solid month. I did have the scope test done. It was a pretty quick process but it is uncomfortable.  But they were able to see that the opening to allow food through was to small. Within just a few moments they were able to enlarge that opening. Ever since I have had this scope test done things have been great for me.

Good luck to you!!

Hello...I too had Dr. Glass. He is a good doctor. If you are having problems he will get it straightened out.

As for eating...it took me a while to get to the 1 cup I am at now. However, I never got sick...I just got too full too fast.

Dr. Glass always told me that I was to eat for twenty minutes and not any longer...I always set a timer and followed his advice.

Maybe the meat you are eating is too dense for you at this time. I ate more refried beans w/cheese. I slowly added in ground beef and chicken and other meats. At first I just ate deli meat as that was easier to digest.

PM me if I can help you with anything.

Hugs...connie d
