OT: Keep This Date Open

The annual ValleyFair and/or outdoor MOVIE night and/or Brunswick Zone Extravaganza is set for AUGUST 14th.

There will be many more posts later in the summer, but in a nutshell, this is how it works.....

Get that day off from work

Meet at Caribou  at the Southwest Station in Eden Prairie around 9 AM for the daystarter.  You can park at the ramp at SW Station for free.  Then we carpool to valleyfair, arriving in time for gate open.

Then leave between 6-7, return to SW Station.  Have dinner at one of the hundreds of restaurants around there, then head to Staring Lake Amphitheater where the movie this year will be:

LION WITCH WARDROBE.

After the movie, head to Brunswick Zone for social hour, late night fun.

It's a GREAT DAY and well worth the effort to make it.  But you can join up at any of the main events, or come for the whole day.

On a day like today it's a GREAT thing to think about.

From out of town?  Make plans to spend the night at a hotel then hit the Mall of America on Saturday.  Can't WAIT!!!!!

Me me me me me me me!  I will be there! ME ME ME!! YAY!! Last year was a BLAST!!

Oh... and we can all hit the new wave pool at Valleyfair some time... maybe another day or whatever, but WOOHOO! I can't wait!!

But - uh, Paul, couldn't you pull some strings and get Liar, Liar on the screen so we could all watch Elena recite it verbatim once again?

I've been fighting for the option of choosing the movie for 10 years.  I'm sure Elena would invite you over and perform the lypsync for you....but that's totally up to her.

I meant the verbatim thing so don't be reading into my words.....

I am marking it on the calendar!  The movie and dinner was fun last year.  My husband had a blaast listening to Elena recite the words to the movie.  Everytime he sees something Jim Carrey he wonders if Elena knows all the words to that movie also.

Darn it!  Of course, I'm in Chicago that week for a conference, and will be flying home very late that night!  Argh!  I wanted to go so much and finally meet some of you wonderful people, I'm gonna whine now!

WOW this actually sounds like a lot of fun! I think it would be a completely different experience for me a 129 pounds later (hopefully more by then). Of course I have been to ValleyFair, but to be honest, I haven't been on any rides there for at least 15 years! I could never fit! How many people usually end up going? I think it sounds like a blast...count me in for sure.

Last year we had 6 for valleyfair, then a few others joined us for the movie, but then some left.  If we can get a large group we could qualify for a group rate (I don't know how many but I am thinking 20)
