Shopping after WLS
As we lose weight shopping becomes so much more fun and less expensive. Last weekend while shopping with my nieces and sister I had a fun shopping moment. We were in American Eagle which to be seems like a store for teenagers or those really thin. Well, as my 15 yr old niece was trying on a dress I saw a shirt that I liked and wonder if it would fit. (I still play this game even 150 lbs less). Well the shirt was on sale for $10 so I thought I could just buy it and bring it home to try on. But, then I thought no I will just go try it on. My sister was thinking it would be too small as the sizes their run small. Well, it fit and I was super excited!! Of course I had to buy it and of course I had to say something to my niece about her aunt shopping in the same store. HA HA I can not believe I could wear something from that store. My husband is sweet and when I walked out of the bathroom all dress as you see below he asked "What magazine did you pop out of" isn't he cute. Thanks for letting me share my moment.
That's fabulous, Angela! It's a fun top!!
Having two teens at home (Trav is close enough to call him a teen...), I do find myself in Aeropostale, Hollister, A&F, you name it. So far, I haven't had the courage (?) to try anything on, for the very same reasons you gave. Either that, or I just feel too damn old.
I've actually had a hard time going in ANY store that doesn't have a plus-size section yet! Mentally, 40+ years of PLUS sizes doesn't go away very fast!
