I found some fun summer exercise ideas... posted below!

How are you moving today?

Me? I want to exercise for 70 minutes to reach my total of 2500 minutes!! We'll see how the weather is... otherwise I'm going to the gym!

Cycling:
burns about 500 calories per hour

Cycling is a sport much to do with your partner, friends and family - we get to enjoy the scenery and the chance to chat on. Aside from burning a huge amount of calorie cycling is also very good to tone your calves, thighs and buttocks - result!

Playing Frisbee: burns about 200 calories per hour

Frisbee is a great form of aerobic exercise, why not stop running during the game. As an additional bonus, there is no limit to what the players can participate, so you can play with a great group of friends and family - the more the merrier.

Beach volleyball: burns about 550 calories per hour

Another large group of sports, beach volleyball is really the heart rate in the course - all that jumping, running and the cute boys (boohoo) will leave you breathless in no time.

Playing in the sand also improve your level of fitness, because it is much more difficult to run and jump on the soft ground.

Inline-Skating: burns about 800 calories per hour

In-line skating is great fun and a great way to burn fat - it seems easy, but it is surprisingly intense, which is reflected in a massive 800 calories burned per hour.

Like cycling, the sport is ideal for toning thighs and butt - just remember that it is not fall and break something. Always wear protective kneepads, wrist guards and a helmet.

Equestrian: around burns 400 calories per hour

Equestrian combines many advantages - it is a lot of fun for the whole campaign of hacking, it is a great way to exercise with your friends and literally works every muscle in your body - believe us, and you feel the next day.

Sport is also ideal for your core stability, and we all know that the way to a flat belly.

Surf: burns about 200 calories per hour

We are not all as great jealousy Cameron Diaz looked at his surfing in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle? Well, maybe it’s time to give it a go yourself.

Browsing is a great way to keep fit because it combines aerobic exercise with strength training (all that paddling and jumping up).

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

I'm off to the gym in about 1/2 hour for a nice long workout.  Yesterday was a short one because I totally overslept.  So today will be about 75 minutes of cardio and then some strength training.  I get to go in to work about 30 minutes later this week because the kids are on Spring Break.

Elena- I'm so proud of you for setting a goal for exercise and meting that goal.   What a fabulous idea!

 Hooray for Tuesdays!

I have a 30 minute work out with my personal trainer, then I'd like to round out the hour with 30 minutes of cardio. I'd like to stay at the gym longer but I have a work meeting tonight, so tomorrow will be a long cardio day!

Thanks for the suggestions for summer exercise. I miss roller blading but without an ACL in my left knee, I can't skate anymore. I never knew it burned so many calories! I have been looking around online for a bike... if anyone has an old one they don't want anymore, I'd be interested in buying!

Went to the gym today and tried something different. Yoga, I was surprised how hard it was. I not only worked up a good sweat but my muscles are now sore. I also did some upper arm weight lifting and ab work.

I walked 3.5 miles so far today.  I was surpised that it wasn't raining, snowing or glopping when I was out there.
