So I didn't have cravings normally and I didn't have cravings with twins but now, I am sitting here as my husband makes a pizza for my step-son and him and I am dying of "I want that instead of my oh so exciting blended split-pea soup."  Can we get some favorite puree ideas on here for those of us in this phase>  I have been using the search button but if anyone has a recipe for pizza a la blender, let me know.  Thanks.

I keep telling myself that this puree stage is only for two weeks.  I have yet to find something decent.  However, on the subject of pizza, I read about one way to "make" it:  Blend ground beef, pizza sauce, cheese and mushrooms.  Basically everything except the crust!  Enjoy...

If you have a bullet or a good blender, you really have no limits.  Obviously you want to weed out the carbs and excessive fats, but if you can put it through the bullet?  I would think you're good to go!  I didn't let anything stop me, really - hard boiled eggs with some LF mayo, chicken hotdish, spaghetti (minimal noodles), seriously - after a couple + weeks on protein drinks (MOST of which were SWEET ), I was ready for some FLAVOR!!!

I don't know if you've seen the recipe around but I ate baked ricotta.  You basically take ricotta and an egg, mix it up, put marinara sauce on top and mozzarella on top of that and bake it on 425 for about 15 minutes.  Then mix it all up and eat it.  It's like lasagna without the noodles and really satisfies the pizza craving!! I'm sick of it now. LOL
