Heath Partners Approval
Hey, Jamie!
I have HP, and here's how it went for me- HP told me that they entered it into the system on Mar. 26, which is about a week after my surgeon's office told me they were submitting it. I don't know which end it took so long for on that. HP told me they take up to 14 business days to process it, but that it usually only takes 7-10, and quite often less than that. They also told me that you don't have to be done with the first 5 phone appointments, they can atart the pre-approval as long as you're enrolled and have done some of them. I was approved Monday afternoon, which makes it 8 business days. I called to check, and the lady first said it was still pending, then said wait, she had two screens giving conflicting information, and put me on hold to call someone to check on it. I'm thinking, oh crap, I'm denied and she's verifying it. She came back and said, "congratulations, when's your surgery date?" It was actually approved while I was on the phone with her! First it said pending, then it said approved, so she called to confirm before telling me. She gave me an approval number to give to my surgeon's office to schedule a date, so I wouldn't have to wait for the letter. My surgeon's office wouldn't give me a date until I had proof of approval. So, if yours goes anything like mine or better, you'll be cutting it close, but you'll be fine. I hope it all works out for you, keep it posted!
