Prayers Please
My elderly mother-in-law, who lives with us, had a stroke late this afternoon. At this point we are not sure how bad it is, but it appears to be worse than the one she had two years ago that led her to live with us in the first place. She'll be in the hospital for a few days and then another neurological assessment will be done to see if she needs to go to a nursing home for awhile or not. I am not sure what to hope for with her because her health care directive includes a DNR and she has led a very ful life, but on the other hand she is someone who is near and dear to many.

Sending her and yours best wishes and hoping she recovers to the best of her ability.

Rick,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your wife. My mother had a DNR also it was very difficult to see her slip away but I now feel that she is in a better place and knowing what quality of life she would of lead if more life support was used may have made her life miserable.

"You may feel like giving up, but you have everything you need to succeed. Press forward without fear!"

I am sorry to hear this RP! I will definitely pray for her and your family!
