Anybody had a stricture? And what does it feel like?

Off and on, for four days now, I've had this feeling that I've got something stuck, but nothing is.  I'm able to eat and drink, but sometimes, even with drinking, it's a little painful swallowing.  I will take a drink with the feeling that I need to "push something through."  This only happens occasionally throughout the day and is not constant.  The other night, I had to sit up for a while 'cause that feeling would come back if I laid down.

I feel it in my chest, just to the right of the center.  Has anyone else ever had a stricture and is this what it might feel like?

I did have a stricture/bowel obstruction right after surgery and I was spitting up everything that I drank.  If you are able to drink and everything stays down, it's most likely not a stricture.  You may have some inflammation going on, which is very normal... If you start having intense pain that is something to be concerned about... I could "feel" things in my pouch area too...but would go away and can still feel some different sensations even 6 mo. out,  which I think is normal.   If you aren't able to keep fluid down or have a lot of pain, this is when you should give your dr. a call!!

Thanks, Nicole.  Yes, I'm able to keep things down, so I figured I wouldn't get too worried.  I'm four years out and have never felt this before, but it's not constant.  There's times it's painful, but it always goes away.  The feeling is mostly in my pouch area.  I'll keep an eye on it!
