Well surgery went well. I had a little trouble with my bladder waking up, but it is working now. I'm still in quiet a bit of pain. As much as it hurts I'm trying to wake and sip, walk and sip. But oh my the gas is going to kill me.

Congratulations!  Every day gets better.  The first week is the most challenging physically.  I'm sure you'll do well.  Welcome to the start of a new you!

Did anyone else really struggle to get the water in that was needed? I feel so full, probably due to the gas. I really don't want to become dehyrated, Any suggestions would be wonderful.

I'm 3 weeks out and still struggling to get in enough fluids, just this past Tuesday I ended up in the hospital getting fluids, (not fun) but it sure made me feel better!! I eat ALOT of popsicles, otherwise I don't have much of suggestions as I too am struggling, although it is easier now than the first few days out! Good luck!!!!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

Happy that you are doing well!  The first day home I only got about 40oz in because I was scared I'd hurt my new tummy.  The 2nd day got it all in by sipping Isopure and Special K protein water.  The third day I realized I can't do luke warm flavored water so added a few ice cubes to cool it down a bit - not super cold but colder than room temp and that really really seemed to help me.
