If you are like me (and thank God if you are not), you have problems eating tough meat.  Today I had the MOST MOIST and TENDER chicken I have EVER had.  It was like budder baby....

My band is very tight right now and it's been frustrating eating because it has been getting stuck.  But the BEER BUTT CHICKEN I made today gave me NO issues WHATSOEVER.

It's very easy to make.  You need a stand to hold the can.  (Available just about anywhere, but I think I got mine at cabela s)  You can use a pop can, just fill it three fourths with your favorite beer.  I put a dry rub on the bird, then  I put it on my grill....put the grill on the lowest heat with one burner only, then cooked for about 3 hours.

Oh, and I got the chicken (whole fresh wonderful and actually quite large) at SUN FOODS for about 5 bucks.  I've never seen them cheaper at the name brand stores.  There are enough leftovers for several meals.

Try it sometime....

We had beer can chicken tonight as well, but in the oven, below is the leftover. Had bottled beer and no pop cans so we used a can of diced pears.

YUMMY & SUPER MOIST!  I've had this several times since surgery and it always goes down easy- no stuckage.

I heard about this years ago but thought it would be too messy.  I'm gonna try it, I think it would be very tender and I'm always looking for different ways to make chicken.  Thanks for the recommendation!!

We had that sat night as well...... we lifted up the shin and put dry rub on inside and outside.  Next time I want to marinate it in a big bag or something to see if it gets even more flavor........MMMMMMMM

Weber makes a chicken roaster that works real slick. I have used wine and apple juice  as well as beer and the results are always great. I got mine at Ace hardware.
