I am back!
Well I had my surgery yesterday. I don't feel too bad, just the shoulder strap pain yesterday and that's pretty much gone today. Just feels like I did 10,000 sit ups. I am able to keep fluids down just fine, and have felt SOME restriction, but for the most part I can drink often, not pushing it though.
I plan to return to work Monday night (I am a nurse) and I am hoping that will not be too soon. Side note, I think nurses make the worst patients! OOPS
I don't know how to do that tracker thing but thoguht I'd share weights, starting before liquid protein diet 300.4. Day of surgery 286.6. Goal = optimistic 190

Wow you're going back really fast for having such an active job! I work at a desk job at the hospital and the NP in our dept advised I take 2 weeks off.. I hope you don't have to be too active on your job.. I'd probably be exhausted if I went back that soon, don't push too hard though, you don't want to exhaust yourself and not heal! Congrats!
Congratulations! Be really careful when you go back to work - there are lifting restrictions after surgery and it is so, so, so, important to let your band and port heal into place for long-term success. Lorri is right - you're swollen right now, but as that goes down, don't be surprised if you start to feel hunger again. Just work really hard on following your surgeon's guidelines for food portions in the next few weeks. Walk and sip and sip and walk. Take care of you!
