Well, 8 months ago my stomach and the Lap-Band were introduced. They immediately liked each other.  When my mouth was introduce it was a bit leary. It hasn't always been so accepting of my band.    Once in a while my band has to remind my mouth to chew better and slow down inbetween bits. Then my stomach lets them all know who should be getting the attention. Of course the head thinks it is incharge so it starts to try to over-take them all. But all in all, the Lap-Band is usually the winner. 

So the story goes..... because of so much support, I have shed 50 pounds of a previous me. I feel and look like a different person.  I look forward to the road to lose another 50.
When people ask what I have been doing to lose the weight, I usually say that I've made up my mind to make better choices and live a different lifestyle. I know I have the band as a tool to help me but it is still up to me to make the right choice. Of course I am NEVER perfect but I know I'm in a better place than I have ever been.

Thank you to my OH family, you may not realize it but you have helped me in so many ways!

Hey, you're doing great Lorri! It's so much fun isn't it? At 2-1/2 years out, my head often thinks it's in charge, but my band is usually there to remind me of what is really in charge! (except when the head chooses ice cream....)
