Right now I'm living in St Paul but moving to Woodbury at the end of May. I'm fine going as far as St Paul for a support group but I was wondering if there is one closer to where I'll be living?

I live in Cottage Grove, so I'd love a support group close, too.  I think someone mentioned one at Allina on Thursday evenings.  Were you wondering about a coffee group?

It's at the Allina Medical Office building in Woodbury.  I'll try to find some info on it.  We should go together!!

River Falls, WI might be a tad far for coffee for you - but they do have them there on an alternating schedule. There is also a coffee in Eagan @ the Byerly's there e/o weekend as well.

Not sure on the surgical support group, though, but sounds like you two might be on to something with Allina. Good luck.

There is an Allina Woodbury WLS support group? I  will practically live next to that!!

The Unity Hospital Bariatric and Weight Loss Center sponsors free support groups for individuals who have had or are considering gastric bypass surgery. Led by former gastric bypass patients, Images Support Groups provide a forum to explore issues connected with our surgery and weight loss. We support one another in our new lifestyle choices and share the challenges and joys that accompany this journey. Research has demonstrated that patients who regularly attend support groups tend to achieve greater weight loss.

Spouses, partners and other adult support persons are welcome to attend. No pre-registration required.
