I had lap and even the nurse said she's been telling the Abbott surgeon's to lower that incision because she gets a lot of complaints about that one.

I think it might of been a combination of a lot of things last night.

I'm not a big fan of the flinstones anyway - I'm thinking about doing the liquid multi - I dunno - How are all of you getting your calcium in?  Pre-op I purchased the Viatic Chews and stocked up on them - Nut and RN told me they don't like those because they don't think they get absorbed 100%.

What are you all taking?

Well I'm glad you mentioned the incision thing.. Then I can mention it before I go under the knife and talk to the surgeon that day. I had no idea they made incisions that high for lap.. wow!  And i don't want my momma's hangin low w/o a bra if I need to function out in public.. lol No big deal if I'm at home..

I'm taking the Flintstones chewables too but I'm not a big fan either.. and I wonder how much I'm even getting into my system because half of it gets stuck in my teeth!! I am looking into a liquid one post-op...  And yes I've heard multiple places on the blogs here along with the NUT to NOT TAKE the chews..

Dave Chambers seems to be the official guru to ask these questions to on here. He says to take these liquid vits http://liquidbariatricvitamins.com/liquidbariatricvitamins/i ndex.html

They are of the liquid variety and he advocates them.

Take a look at vitalady.com as well.  She is a WLS person who is 10+ years out and is on OH and knows a heck of a lot about vitamins.  (Michelle Curran) I've ordered from her and have been pleased with their service and prices, but just take a look at her website for information as well.   It's worth a look.

Haha, I think it's awesome that you referenced butchering chickens because I grew up raising and butchering chickens!!

When I had my gallbladder removed one of the incisions was/is right below my breasts where my bra rests.  I, too, had the stitch that poked out.  I had my one week post-surgery appointment with the surgeon and the ******* PULLED on it with a tweezer and snipped it short.  It hurt SO bad when he did it.

Poor hun, I hope you get it figured out :(

I just took the nail clipper too it and clipped it off.  It seems to be less sore now.

I think I took the actigal for my gallbladder with my flinstone and it didn't mix so am not taking them seperately and it seems to be going good.

I know - PEW on the chickens! LOL!
