I found this information on the Allina website yesterday (I work at Allina) for those of us in the East Metro. If anyone wants to attend this with me, let me know. I will be moving to Woodbury June 1st.. Hoping to schedule for surgery shortly after. 

Images Support Group

The Unity Hospital Bariatric and Weight Loss Center sponsors free support groups for individuals who have had or are considering gastric bypass surgery. Led by former gastric bypass patients, Images Support Groups provide a forum to explore issues connected with our surgery and weight loss. We support one another in our new lifestyle choices and share the challenges and joys that accompany this journey. Research has demonstrated that patients who regularly attend support groups tend to achieve greater weight loss.

Spouses, partners and other adult support persons are welcome to attend. No pre-registration required.

We can go whenever you want to start! I live on one side of Valley Creek and Allina Woodbury is on the other.. I can walk there!

Thanks's for sharing this!  Since I'm totally turned off by the PNC support (love the people, hate the facilitator idea), I think I'll give this one a shot.  I'm hoping they (Allina) will actually offer subject matter and teachings, unlike PNC.  I liked PNC when they had a teaching format with discussion afterwards.

I've marked my calendar for May 14th.
