Congratulations on a job well done!!  It is your hard work and determination that has gotten you to this point.  You are an inspiration to me, I too know how easy it is to fall by the wayside and feel like the coffee's/support groups are the best therapy we can have.  I am excited to get this ball rolling and can not wait for the end of September.  You are already making me feel so comfortable at the coffee's that I look forward to each of them and don't even mind the drive!  Keep up the good work!!  By the way I always known you as the skinny Darla, never as the former Darla.

WOW!  Reading this is as if your reading my life story! I will be two years out in august and I also started at a 32 pant and am currently in a 16.  They are loose now and I know if I got skin removed I would easily fit a 14.  But I am so extremely happy with my choice to LIVE!!!  Congrats to you on your 2 year keep being you because your awesome!

Darla;

Congratulations on your accomplishments - not only looking fabulous, but for being such an motivation to myself and others.  As you read through the posts, I hope you realize what others see in you - a kind-hearted, inspirational, outgoing person that anyone would be lucky to know.  You've got it all going!

Happy surgiversary Darla!
You are doing so well (mentally is questionable, tee hee) No really you are doing fabulous. I just can not imagine you in a size 32 pants. You looked great when I  met you back in August and still look gret. Thank you for so much support you've given to me and everyone on this board. I've seen so many supportive posts that you have written.
Well done my friend, well done

To everyone who has replied since MY last reply, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your friendship, kind words and support!  It's exactly what has made this SO MUCH MORE than a weight loss journey

I'm happy to report that at my 2 year WLS follow up appointment today, all my labs were good, and I am within 13 pounds of my doctor's goal weight for me (which I never knew before)!!!   I also saw my PCP today, and he's still quite giddy with me, my labs are great, my A1C is rockin', and although we're currently tweaking my synthroid, he believes that by getting those values back in place, I'll have no problem dropping the rest of the weight I want to lose!  (I didn't realize my thyroid levels were changing until 3 weeks ago, when he upped my dose...)

I can't express the love and gratitude I feel here...  GROUP HUG!!!!

You know Darla? you put out some of the best posts.   I don't get here very often anymore, but you are so good at being there for people, and so good at putting your thoughts into words we can all understand and enjoy.  I think our goal weight is just a number.  I think that our bodies find a weight that it feels healthy at, and trys to stay there.  I think some people can go smaller and be well, and I think some people go smaller and are not well, cause their bodies need more, even if they are convinced that they need to be at a certain number.  I don't know.  Maybe I'm trying to sell a cop-out since I haven't reached goal, and likely never will.  But I am happy and healthy where I am.  that's what is important to me. I hope all *****ad this can have that satisfaction.  by no means has this been an easy road.  I think I wil be posting my probs soon.  Only fair to share the ups, and the downs.

Darla, dear...congrats on 2 years!  That is so cool!

You have been (as you can see by all the posts here) an inspiration to so many of us...me included.

I will never forget the first time we met...I was 2 or 3 weeks out from surgery and not knowing what I was getting into....and you got to experience my first dumping with me!  How lucky for you! Even that night you were so encouraging and helpful.

I know what you mean about shopping for clothes...unfortunately I AM a clothes horse, and always have been!  It is just worse now because I can go into ANY shop and get clothes.

I know I don't see you much, or chat with you much here, but I do love you and want to give you a BIG hug for all that you have done for all of us!

Love ya!
