Hello all!
I've been coming to the sight checking things out for the past couple months and find this to be very useful. I just moved from South Dakota and the network of people there was very limited. I just have a few questions. I see things pop up from time to time, but I'm just wondering where/when the support groups, get togethers, coffees, etc are. I live in St Paul and work in Eden Prairie so I am kind of wide spread and open to where ever. I have a tough schedule during the week and wor****il 7 pm, which seems to limit my options during the week. Any advice, suggestions, tips, tools..anything! will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Hey and welcome! So good to have you here! If you ever want to make the haul to Maple Grove, it will be very worth your while!!! If you have any questions, feel free to post!!!
I also have been a bit of a voyeour(SP)-My process went pretty fast until approval. Not quite 4 weeks. I am scheduled for my RNY 5/26/09. I have learned so much from your experiences and can see how important it is to meet people on similar journeys. I still am absorbing everything and am excited to go forward and look forward to meeting some of you as time goes on.
Welcome to the Great State of Minnesota and some of the bst WLS people in the nation!! As for coffee in St. Paul- we meet every other week at the Byerly's in Eagan (35E and Yankee Doodle) at about 8:30 AM. On some weekends, including this Saturday, there are groups at the Caribou in Roseville, and other weekends at Caribou in West St. Paul. Watch the boards on Thursday and Friday to see where this week's groups are!!
Hope to meet you soon!

Welcome to both newbies on this thread!
Park Nicollet has a support group meeting every 2nd & 4th Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 in St. Louis Park. It is open to anyone, not just Park Nicollet people, and there is no cost. I realize, jt, that this doesn't fit your schedule, but if you ever have the opportunity to get off early one of those nights, it would be worth your time to check it out.
Saturday morning coffee get-togethers are even better in many ways - more one-on-one time to get your questions answered by people who have been there & done that.
