To Wii or not to Wii
My DH has asked me if I'd like a Wii for my birthday and I am considering it, but wondering how much use it would get. I really want the Wii Fit and he said he'd get that too.
Just curious to those who have a Wii how often do you use it. Was it a worthwhile purchase? He and I would be th only ones using it.
thanks

The wi-fit is an incredible tool. You can use it to track your weight loss in addition to the activities you participate it. It is very sophisticated. It can even analyze your posture and give you exercises to improve it. There are low impact activities such as balance or high impact such as running. Plus it's very cute and has built in motivation to keep you active.
My favorite is the downhill ski racing. My least favorite is the hula hoop....still can't get that motion. And you will be amazed at how good this thing is at knowing exactly how you are moving. It even has yoga, but I'm not ready for that.
Make sure you have enough room for the "pad" on the floor in front of your TV.
I recommend it....but have to say it's been awhile since it's been getting nice outside.

First off, today is your birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HG, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
We have Wii bowling tournaments at our house, it's very fun! A lot of the games are fun and can be active based on how you move the controllers, etc. We also have the Carnival game and I have to tell you, I love Ski ball!!! It's my favorite part of the game. And the best part, it's improved my score at the real game, too.
We also have the Fit, but I have not used it more than 2 times. I always have good intentions, but just haven't made it a habit yet.
During the winter, we use the Wii a lot more than we do during the summer months.

You know, Wii Fit is like evertything else in life. It is what you make of it. I got my first shot of it 2 weeks ago, and it will now and forever be a regular part of my life, but like everthing, there are cheats, and you can figure out how to do things with minimal movement, or you can actively play, or you can completely throw yourself into it and take advantage of what it will help you do. I think it's great fun, especially being active while using it, and having somebody who will play the same way. Big question: will you make it more activity than you were doing 3 days ago. If yes, then it's sooo worth it. and it can be a bonding experince.
