I have to go to Mercy hospital tomorrow to have a cardiac ablation which is a six to seven hour procedure. Although it is considered low risk I'm more nervous about this than I was the RNY surgery, must be because there messing with my heart. So if it is in you please say a little prayer for me. This is what is so awesome about this OH family I can post something that concerns me other than WLS related. If you are curious what an ablation is read below

The procedure is to correct atrial fibrillation an irregular and very fast heart beat. When I am given meds to correct the heart rate my heart rate goes down into the upper 30's per minute way to slow. The surgeon has mapped out my heart with three different tests and EKG, an MRI of my heart and they also took pictures of my heart through my esophagus. They will cut into my artery in the groin area and run something up into my heart and cauterize the areas in my heart the are sending out bad electrical signals. That is why the surgery takes so long they have to make sure they are cauterizing the right areas of the pulmonary veins. I should only be in the ICU over night if all goes well

Who wouldn't be nervous?  But you'll have an army of people praying that it goes smoothly for you...  myself, included.

Hopefully they'll get you feeling fabulous in no time!

Holler if you need anything, Tim...
