Hoping someone has a similiar situation...

So i have been through the process of getting weight loss surgery, when I had spoke  with Medica they said they do cover the surgery.

Welll a few weeks ago I got a different story. Maybe it's because it's through minnesota care but i have no idea..

Um they told me they only cover 10,000 dollars of the surgery and that's it. The rest has to be covered by me..

It was extremely EXTREMELY discouraging to hear this news I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have advice on what to do? Or has anyone experienced a similiar situation? I'd love to hear from you.

I guess all I can advise is to call them and get the story straight. When you know for sure what the situation is... then take any steps you may need to get around it or appeal it... if that  option  exists.

A friend of mine had RNY done and she has Medica through Minnesota Care.  She had it covered 100% though.  I may be able to give you some info.  I'll send you a message.
