OT: I lost my job today

My heart goes out to you for this job loss.  It is never easy to hear that you are fired (without, or even with good reason).  Be proud of all you have accomplished at Channel 5 and realize that  it is their loss!  You have to ability to go far, just keep your eyes wide open!

Hugs to you dear!!  I am so sorry to hear this.  I also believe one door closes and a bigger and better one opens.  It has happened to me before.  I have had my job eliminated twice now and each time I have liked my new job better than the one before.  Use your skills and you'll find something.

One question....why can't you get unemployment?  I think it just goes by the hours worked, not full time vs. part time.  I'm sure you've checked it out but if you haven't it would be worth it.

It sucks, but I believe that any news station would love to have you.......

You better get to keep the Emmy's......Just bring it with you on your interviews....:)

I'm so sorry to here this They don't know what they had. your such a wonderful person with a incredible personality and I know just from talking with you that you are a great talent.I know there's some thing out there for you and like you say maybe this is going to help you get a new and better job. I will miss having you around if you leave the state but at least you'll be here on OH.  Check out the unempolyment site cause even if your fired you can still get unemployment  and part time may not matter you just might not get a lot.. I was justing reading up on it last night . I'll be layed off as of june 5th so I was just checking out what I need to do. there a lot of info on the web. site Big HUG  hang in there talk to you soon

Oh, thank stinks!  I hope your dream of an out of state job comes true. Seems likely that maybe this is your little hint from above to move forward with that NOW.

Okay, now I have some experience with getting and losing jobs and I want you to know that everytime I left  ajob I ended up with something BETTER than I had before! 

You're a smart girl and will certainly end up happier and with something better! 

So sorry to hear this.  I think you should at least get a clear idea about why you were fired.  I think they owe you that.  Chin up - you'll find something else soon and if you're already looking, you're halfway there.  Good luck!
