FRI: How are you moving?
Yesterday I didn't get a walk in... I just mellowed out and tried to keep my head above water. Today... I dunno. Taking the day off.

Elena,
Yesterday was a bad day for me......Sometimes it feels like I'm running on empty......
I ended up falling asleep in my lounge chair outside, got burned.....I didn't get any exercise in........
Today I plan to take a walk or bike ride......I just need to motivate myself.....I've been self destructing and need to pull my head out of my ass......I didn't go through all this to F*ck it up now.......
Maybe we can get together and workout......Or walk.....

When I get down on myself or the world seems to be pounding me slowly into the ground, I have resorted to using some mindfulness exercises to keep me in the moment.....to enjoy the rythym and movement of exercise, even walking....to savor each bite of food......to appreciate something about the people who care about me.....to feel the emotions in songs. It is a simple thing and it is not. By staying in the moment, you can let go of self recrimination, frustration with other people, the messes your kid(s) make, worries about car repairs, etc. and just enjoy a moment of your life. By adding enough of those moments together, the things that weigh on my mind fade enough to allow me to move forward again. There is a book entitled "Full Catastrophe Living" that I have found to be helpful with mindfulness exercises.
Good luck,
RP
When mindfulness isn't quite enough, I have been known to sit in my office chair, raise my middle digits and spin around...sometimes more than once.
