They figured out my problem!
I had the Endoscopy done today and they found a stricture, they couldn't even get the scope thru, (and it only looked as big as a co-axil cable) no wonder food wouldn't go down and they also found a large, fairly deep jejunal ulcer (10mm). Probably why I was having pain, Guess it is just part of the journey, I am glad they found out the problem and now I can start healing!!
Yes I was at FVSD! I didn't see you! Are you feeling ok? They only opened the stricture w/ the scope so they think I will have to come back in 3 weeks or so and have it opened with the balloon, the ulcer needs to heal first, I guess from what I understood the ulcer is actually somehow causing the stricture?! Anyways it's been a long 3 weeks of not eating and I am dreading the next few weeks of not eating much until the ulcer heals! Bummer, I sure had wished for no problems, but on the great side of things I have now lost 45 pounds in 6 weeks!!!! Ya me!!!!! Take care!!!!!!
Down 45 in 6 weeks? That's great...way to work it! I've never had a stricture, so I don't know if the ulcer caused it, but glad to hear they figured it out and you're on the mend!
I'm okay. I just get incredibly tired when my hemoglobin drops. This was my fourth transfusion so far this year! It's most likely related to my ulcerative colitis (I see the GI in about 10 days). It also could be partly 'cause of some meds I'm on for that and my blood issues. Lately I've been getting lab work every week...I feel like a pin cushion!
