I don't want to do this anymore...
Linda told me week 3 would be bad, with the hormones, etc. But right now, I'm tired of the LD and don't want to do it anymore. I'm hungry a lot and just want something to eat. Please help, if nothing else, reassure me this, too, will pass. Thanks for listening!
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this - AND SO CAN YOU!!

Therese-
I promise you that this too shall pass!! Just keep in mind that you are working toward a goal and that there will be some tough roads ahead. Keep yourself busy with sipping, walking, resting, playing with your boys, reading....... In a few months you will look back and say to yourself how proud you are that you made this choice to improve your life!!
See you at coffee soon!

This is a good time to write out a nice long list of all the reasons you are doing this and what you are looking forward to - crossing your legs, fitting into tiny sizes, being able to run, etc. This WILL pass. Months from now you'll barely remember it. Use this as a time to realize your addiction on food and show your stomach who is boss. Find a ton of things you can do to distract yourself - read, walk, shower, sleep, talk on the phone, garden, etc... write out a list and every time you feel hungry, fill that hunger with an activity. I PROMISE that it gets better!
Hang in there sweetie...I have the same NUT that you do - I had Dr. Chute (same group). Liz gave me a hint on how to know the difference...if you put it in a wire strainer and it goes through - it is full liquids...if not, it is puree'd....puree'd foods have more chunks in them and you actually have to chew them....full liquids you don't really have to chew, but I did, just to get that chewing sensation....
It does get better...it really does. In a few months you will look back at this time and wonder what all the fuss was about.

Hang in there. I would have given anything to have a reversal at the point you are at. But it does get better. I got dehydrated and depressed but it does get better. I wish I could put in words how I know how you feel but it does get BETTER. Trust me you will look back on this and be thankful it is over but would never change what you have done.
"You may feel like giving up, but you have everything you need to succeed. Press forward without fear!"

pull out that list i gave you that I got from my NUT @ Abbott... it lists the foods you can have under the pureed section. Sorry I wasn't around all day or I would have called ya with encouragement.. Sal and I had the same NUT (Liz) @ the Abbot WLS office. Think of pureed foods and thinned out soft foods... or thicker full liquids. applesauce consistency... I'm not looking forward to that 2 week phase either after surgery...
hang in there!!!
