Give all the blame to the hormones - the LD is your friend.  It'll pass, you'll start shrinking faster than you could possibly imagine, and you'll look back and think "I'd do it again!"

For now, find ways to occupy your brain.  It is the culprit here - wanting what you can't have.  Just decide "Brain, I'm doing this for Body.  You just sit up there and chill."  Be stronger than the urges it's causing you!  You won't regret it.

How about keep your mind busy reading the sucess stories on OH ?  Are you wanting something to chew? I see you're able to have yogurt, can you try to freeze it and see if that takes the edge off for you?

T,

Like you, I'm also on full liquids, and like you...I crave all sorts of things.  Just stikc with want your doing.  This is all mental.  In the 2 weeks since my WLS, I've been out to eat with friends and family countless times, but I stuck with it and did not cheat at all.  This is for the greater good.

Just think of it like this, once you're on "regular" food, you can taste again and have fun trying out what you can or can't tolerate.  I already know it's harder than Chinese Algebra, but you can do it.

It's what YOU make of it. You can do it. Hell if I can, I know you can and I MISS THE HELL OUT OF SOME FOOD, but you're discipline will speak for itself.

I'm not even 2 weeks post and I've already dropped close to 40 pounds and I'm virtually Diabetic Free!!!

We're all in this together!!! Don't make me have to hunt you done!!

Wow Juice, that's fantastic!!  You're my hero!!   Is the 40 since surgery or from the beginning?

If you've been out to eat with friends, what do you have?  Do you bring your own?  That's part of my frustration right now, it seems like I can't do anything that everyone else can.  Poor me, huh??

I know it's a mental thing, but it's still really hard!  I'm glad I have such supportive friends (like those that will hunt me down!!) and a very supportive family.  Thanks again!

I can do this, I can do this, I can do this - AND SO CAN YOU!!

JUICE!  Way to kick the evil diabetes to the curb, my sexy friend!!!   Your attitude is AWESOME!!!

And Theresa, you CAN go out with your friends!  Just make sure THEY know about your limitations so they don't pester you, and stay busy with conversation & such!  This is going to be your life now, you might as well dive right in and learn to deal!  You'll probably find it's not such a big deal - just intimidating right now.

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!  YOU'RE ON THE BENCH AND HEADING TO A HEALTHIER LIFE!!!

Aww I really feel for you! Try some Campbell's condensed split pea soup (if you like that kind of course) it is really thin and really good and has a pretty good amount of protein. It helped me feel like I was actually eating something! Im sure there are other condensed soups you can try also.

Good luck and hang in there!

That sounds good, I'm getting tired of tomato!!  I wish I could find cream of asparagus, but have not been able to.  Thanks for the tip!
