The little things

It's been a long while since I've posted.  Busy busy busy!  I'm four months out and down about 60 pounds.  I have about 60 to go.  At the half-way point, I am noticing a lot of little things (wows) that are improving.

1. I can sit cross-legged.  I have always found sitting this way comfortable, but was unable to do it at my heaviest.
2. I got into a size 18 jeans yesterday (down from 24)
3. I put henna on my feet a few days ago--would not have been able to reach before.
4. My t-shirts cover my butt now and hang loosely.
5. Work is easier.  I'm a nurse.  It's a lot easier now to do the up-down-push-pull-lift-squeeze through equipment/crowded spaces that my job requires.
6. Compliments
7. Improved self-esteem
8. Getting dressed is easier.  At my heaviest, just putting on a bra seemed like such an ordeal--lifting, heaving, hefting, pushing rolls around to fit into the bra... now it's much easier.
9. When I lie on the couch, there's enough room left over for one of my cats to lie down with me.
10. I don't snore any more (that happened right after surgery)
11. Don't need to take prilosec any more.
12. My irritable bowel symptoms are gone.

Well... those are the main ones off the top of my head.  I'm down to 210 from 270.  Onederland is just around the corner.

Take care, everybody,

Last group, I was en route home from Chicago.  My husband and I took a mini vaca last week.  I think I'll be able to come to the next one, next week.  I also look forward to seeing everyone, because it's been a while.
