Surgery in 9 hours!

I am having my surgery in 9 hours.  I don't think it has really hit me, I spent so much time worrying about it for days and weeks, and now its like I'm in a daze.  I feel like I have been in a waiting room between "knowing" and "doing".  How do I even sleep?  Am I going to get on the table, and realize, "Wait! WHAT AM I DOING?"  Do I really know what I am doing?  I'll tell you one thing, reading the weight loss forums right before surgery can either be really encouraging, or REALLY scary.
Can I just say, How many food commercials ARE THERE?!  Mmmm McDonalds.  Every thing looks like it needs to go in my mouth!
Can I just say the "day before surgery laxative" is not my favorite thing about THIS Mother's Day.  Or the ungodly sounds that are coming from my stomach.
Just had to rant. Respond if you like.

Good luck to you  - we'll see you on the loser bench! :-) I thought the same thing before my surgery. But when I got there, there was so much to do to prepare that my mind didn't give me time to get emotional. BUT, my doctor did say it is totally normal if I did start crying... because it IS scary to do something so life-changing. Don't worry and get ready for an amazing journey!
