First fill.

Well, I had my first fill today.  Everything went fine.  The PA found a collection of fluid around my port that she sucked out, only 10 cc's came out and she said not to be concerned she has pulled as much as 150 cc's out of people before.  I have a 14 cc band (because I am a guy) and there was 1 cc already in it, so she added an additional 3 cc's.  She said I probably won't be in the "green zone" with this fill, but I am hoping for a little more restriction than before.  I get my next fill on June 10th where I can get an additional 3 cc's.  I am trying to exercise and really diet, so I don't get discouraged before I am feeling restriction.  I really understand what they mean by not losing weight as fast as RNY surgery.  I am very happy with my decision and looking forward to the results!

Slow and steady wins the race - I promise! Take this time to really get your mind in the game and prepare for the tough times where you will have stalls and setbacks. We all have them - even RNYers. Once the restriction is there and your appetite is curbed... you should feel some relief. It took me quite a few fills to get there.
